Odisha Rain Alert: Six Districts Severely Affected by Deep Depression, Administration Steps Up Response

Koraput,Sept 25 [UDN}: Odisha Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari has informed that six districts of the state have been particularly affected by heavy rainfall triggered by a deep depression.

According to the minister, Koraput, Ganjam, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Nabarangpur and Rayagada have experienced significant impact from the heavy rain and strong winds associated with the weather system.

Minister Pujari said the state government is closely monitoring the situation and taking necessary steps to deal with the developing weather conditions.

Meanwhile, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Minister Gokulananda Mallik visited Gajapati district and reviewed the ground situation. He took stock of the impact of the heavy rain and wind and assessed the preparedness and response measures being undertaken by the district administration.
