Bhubaneswar, Aug. 12 (UDN): Odisha has recorded a notable rise in its revenue collection during the first four months of the current financial year, with total receipts reaching ₹61,593 crore till July, marking a 7.3% increase over the corresponding period of the previous year.

The figures were presented by the Finance Department during a high-level revenue review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan on Tuesday.
The latest data indicate steady growth in the state’s revenue mobilisation across various sources. The government reviewed the performance of different revenue-generating departments and discussed measures to further strengthen collection in the coming months.
The Chief Minister emphasised the need for effective revenue management, improved monitoring and stronger coordination among departments to sustain the growth momentum.
With the financial year still in its early stages, the government is expected to focus on improving collection efficiency and ensuring that revenue targets are achieved without disrupting economic activity.
The ₹61,593-crore collection till July reflects a positive start to Odisha’s fiscal year and provides the state government with greater financial space to pursue its development and welfare priorities.
