Odisha Reviews Public Spending and Gears Up for New Government’s One-Year Celebration

28th May 2025: A high-level meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja was recently held to review the state’s financial progress and plan upcoming government outreach programs. During the meeting, it was revealed that Odisha has seen a 35% increase in overall expenditure up to April this year compared to the same period last year. Notably, spending on various schemes and programs has risen by 66%, reflecting an accelerated pace of development and implementation.

The meeting also focused on preparations for district and state-level programs scheduled to begin from June 12, marking one year of the current government’s tenure. Detailed discussions were held to finalize the structure and execution strategy of these public engagement events, aimed at showcasing achievements and connecting with citizens across the state.

The government aims to maintain this momentum while ensuring transparency, efficiency, and impact in its delivery of services.
