The announcement was made by Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi during his participation in the Go-Nabratri Mahotsav in Puri. Speaking at the event, he emphasized the importance of cow resources in our heritage and their contribution to the socio-economic fabric of the state. He said, “Cows are an integral part of our culture, and this initiative will not only boost milk production but also ensure the welfare of our farmers and rural communities.”
The Chief Minister Kamadhenu Yojana will help improve access to quality grazing land and support dairy farmers in raising livestock more effectively. This will not only boost milk production but also improve the livelihoods of those involved in the dairy sector.
By launching this scheme, the state aims to secure sustainable growth in milk production and ensure better economic outcomes for farmers, contributing to the overall well-being of Odisha’s rural economy.
