Paddy and Rice Stock Verification Underway in Kalahandi as Officials Conduct Joint Physical Inspection

 Kalahandi, Sept 23   [UDN}:  The Food Corporation of India (FCI), in collaboration with the Odisha Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department, has launched a Joint Physical Verification (JPV) drive to verify the actual stock of paddy and rice stored at rice mills across the state.

As part of the exercise, officials conducted a physical inspection at a rice mill in Kalahandi district, where they directly examined, verified and counted the available stocks of paddy and rice.

The verification was aimed at establishing whether the quantities recorded in official documents and stock registers matched the actual stock physically available in the mill’s warehouses. Officials carefully checked the stored paddy and rice and compared the physical quantities with the figures shown in the records.

The joint inspection is intended to ensure transparency and accuracy in stock accounting, while identifying any discrepancies between documented and physically available stocks.
