Delhi, Aug 29 [UDN}:Union Minister for Commerce and Industrye Piyush Goyal held discussions with representatives of several leading Japanese financial and investment institutions, focusing on strengthening capital flows and inlhivestment partnerships between India and Japan.
The meeting centered on ways to further deepen Japanese participation in India’s economic growth and development journey, with particular emphasis on enhancing investment cooperation, facilitating greater capital inflows, and creating stronger opportunities for businesses and investors from both countries.
During the interaction, the Union Minister discussed various aspects of India-Japan economic cooperation with senior representatives of prominent Japanese institutions, including Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), Development Bank of Japan (DBJ), Mizuho, and Nippon Life.
The discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening financial and investment linkages between the two countries and encouraging greater participation by Japanese financial institutions in India’s rapidly expanding economy. The engagement is aimed at creating a stronger foundation for long-term investment partnerships and supporting India’s continued development across various sectors.
