Cuttack,April 18: The application deadline for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET)–2026 has been extended until May 9 by the board. Earlier, the last date to apply for the examination was Thursday midnight.
As many candidates were unable to submit their applications within the stipulated time, the board has decided to provide another opportunity to OTET aspirants. So far, more than 70,000 candidates have already applied for the examination. It is also reported that many in-service teachers are among the applicants.
With the extension of the deadline by nearly a month, more candidates will now get the chance to apply within this extended period. As a result, it is being anticipated that the total number of applicants may cross one lakh.
