Belaguntha,June 23 {UDN}: A sacred Father’s Day celebration was observed in Belaguntha on Sunday evening. On this occasion, a devotional music program and cultural performances were organized at Bada Danda, Belaguntha, under the auspices of the Jai Jagannath Bhajan Mandali.
The event was conducted under the leadership of young social worker Gangadhar Dakua. Shyam Sundar Panda attended as the chief guest, while noted Jagannath culture researcher Ramakrishna Pati, distinguished litterateur Motilal Pati, Purna Chandra Panigrahi, Rabindra Nath Rath, Pabitra Kumar Sahu, Nageswar Patra, Basanna Kumar Sahani, and Prashanu Kumar Sahu were present as honored guests.
During the program, all fathers present and members of the media were felicitated with mementos as a mark of respect. Participants also sought blessings by touching the feet of fathers and two respected teachers, highlighting the values of gratitude, respect, and family bonds.
The celebration concluded with musical performances by local artists, creating a spiritually uplifting and culturally vibrant atmosphere. The event served as a meaningful tribute to fathers and their invaluable role in shaping families and society.
