Jayapur,June 20: {UDN}:: A ten-day Annual Educational Development Workshop and Teacher Training Programme was successfully organized at Saraswati Bal Mandir, Paika Sahi, Jayanagar, Jeypore in Koraput district. The workshop was conducted for the teachers of the institution with the active cooperation of the school management committee, the headmistress, and the teaching staff. The programme concluded successfully on the final day.
The workshop featured a series of expert-led training sessions aimed at enhancing teaching skills, educational methodologies, creativity, and child development practices.
On the first day, psychologist N. Sudhakar conducted a session focusing on educational psychology and understanding students’ mental development.
On the second day, Bijayalakshmi Panigrahi and Niranjan Panigrahi provided training on effective reading and writing techniques, helping teachers develop better instructional strategies for language learning.
During the third day, art instructors Nrusingha Sadangi and Padmacharan Choudhury trained participants in various forms of visual arts, including drawing, paper sculpture, handicrafts, and creative artistic skills. They also highlighted the importance of fine arts and creativity in everyday life and in the holistic development of children.
Music education sessions were conducted by Manoranjan Das, who emphasized that songs and music serve as an important source of nourishment for a child’s emotional and intellectual growth. He demonstrated how music can be effectively integrated into classroom learning.
The workshop further covered a wide range of educational topics. Panchanan Mishra conducted sessions on grammar and educational techniques, while Radhamohan Panda discussed the Hindi topic “Jeevan Ki Dhara Hai”. M.D. Sharif delivered a lecture on “Knowledge is Science”. Uday Shankar Jani spoke on child psychology and understanding young learners. Dilip Panda discussed the role of science in literature and the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP). Senior litterateur Laxmikanta Padhi guided participants on correct and incorrect language usage, while Amar Mishra conducted training on the use of acting and dramatization as effective educational tools.
In the concluding session, Niranjan Panigrahi conducted a theatrical and motivational presentation titled “Effort Never Dies,” encouraging teachers to remain dedicated and persistent in their profession.
The workshop was coordinated and managed by the institution’s secretary Niranjan Panigrahi, Headmistress Ritali Sahu, former senior announcer and playwright Uday Shankar Jani, school president Anup Kumar Samantaray, CRC Coordinator Bijayalakshmi Swain, and other members of the organizing team.
Participants observed that such a programme, organized at a primary educational institution, would greatly contribute to making classroom teaching more engaging, effective, and enjoyable for both students and teachers. The workshop reflected the institution’s commitment, dedication, and sense of responsibility toward quality education.
Several parents and guardians also attended the programme and highly appreciated the efforts of the institution in organizing such a meaningful educational initiative. The event was conducted under the supervision of School President Anup Kumar Samantaray, with full support from Headmistress Ritali Sahu and the entire teaching staff.
The successful completion of the workshop demonstrated the school’s continuous efforts to improve teaching standards, promote creativity, and ensure the overall development of both educators and students.
