Special Passenger Facilitation Day at VSS Airport Aims to Strengthen Customer Support and Grievance Redressal Mechanisms

Jharsuguda,June 20: {UDN}:: Passenger Facilitation Day will be observed at the Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Airport, Jharsuguda, on 15 June 2026. The initiative aims to showcase various passenger-centric measures, infrastructure developments, and service improvements that have been introduced to enhance passenger convenience and operational efficiency at the airport.
A number of facilities have been made available for travelers, including:
Free Wi-Fi services
Food and beverage facilities
Baby care room
Mobile and laptop charging stations
Advanced passenger processing systems
Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations
Improved traffic and vehicle management systems
To facilitate convenient transportation to and from the airport, pre-paid taxi services and city bus services have also been arranged.
As part of its commitment to promoting green energy, the airport is developing solar-panel-equipped shaded parking facilities. Additionally, a “Flybrary” (airport library) facility has been introduced to encourage reading habits among air travelers.
