Satyanarayan Group of Institutions Organizes Special Programme on International Nurses Day Recognizing the Service and Compassion of Nurses

Malkangiri,May 15:  The 52nd International Nurses Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at various nursing colleges under the Satyanarayan Group of Institutions located in Malkangiri, Rayagada, Koraput, and Jeypore of the undivided Koraput district.
Presiding over the programme, the heads of the institutions highlighted the dedication, service, and commitment of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing education, and inspired the students to follow her ideals. The teachers and faculty members encouraged the students to uphold the dignity and reputation of their institutions, the nation, and society by being inspired by Florence Nightingale’s devotion, sacrifice, and selfless service.
The programme began with the offering of incense, lamps, and floral tributes before the portrait of Florence Nightingale, followed by a welcome song presented by the students.
At Satyanarayan College, Malkangiri, the programme was coordinated by Principal Ms. Sumarin Suman Karshik and Ms. Tanushree Debnath. At Ananta Memorial College, Jeypore, acting Principal Ms. Mousumi Pal and Ms. Manisha Sisa conducted the event. At Satyanarayan Nursing College, Koraput, acting Principal Soumyakanti Satpathy and Ms. Sifani Takri managed the programme. Similarly, at Sahayog Nursing College, Rayagada, Director Ranjita Rani Panda and faculty member Shivani Patra successfully organized and conducted the event.
Hundreds of students from all the institutions participated in various cultural programmes and also took a pledge to become dedicated and compassionate nurses like Florence Nightingale in the future.
