Koraput: Oct 9 [UDN}:A tree plantation drive was organised across various Gram Panchayats in all 14 blocks of Koraput district under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, as part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign.
The plantation programme was conducted with the joint participation of the block administrations, elected Panchayati Raj representatives and government employees. Participants planted saplings in the names of their mothers, highlighting the emotional and environmental significance of the campaign.
The initiative aimed to promote environmental protection, increase green cover and encourage community participation in tree plantation. Through the campaign, the district administration and local representatives conveyed a message of greater public awareness and collective responsibility towards protecting nature and building a greener future.
