Delhi , Oct 9 [UDN}: Delhi authorities have announced a series of restrictions and pollution-control measures ahead of the winter season, when air quality traditionally deteriorates in the national capital.
From November 1, 2026, both government and private offices in Delhi will be required to limit physical attendance to 50% of their workforce, with the remaining employees working from home.
The authorities have also imposed restrictions on demolition and dust-generating outdoor civil construction activities. Such activities will remain prohibited from November 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027, as part of measures aimed at reducing particulate pollution.
In another step to discourage the use of private vehicles, parking fees at authorised parking facilities will be doubled from November 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027.
The measures are intended to reduce vehicular emissions, construction-related dust and other sources of pollution during Delhi’s critical winter pollution period.
