Jharsuguda: July 18 [UDN}:A significant district-level review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Jharsuguda Collector Shri Kunal Motiram Chavan. The meeting was attended by Chief Development Officer of the Zilla Parishad, Shri Biswaranjan Nayak, along with other senior officials.
During the meeting, the District Collector conducted a detailed review of the progress of various government schemes being implemented by the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department. He assessed the current status of these projects and directed the concerned officials to ensure their timely and successful completion within the stipulated deadlines.
The meeting also discussed the progress of construction works related to Anganwadi centres, additional classroom buildings, and healthcare infrastructure across the district. In addition, the repair and maintenance of various government and public properties were reviewed and monitored.
Emphasizing the importance of these infrastructure projects for the convenience and welfare of rural residents, the Collector stressed the need for their early completion.
On the other hand, the District Collector also reviewed the effective implementation of the PM Surya Ghar Yojana and the Adarsh Gram Mission. Highlighting the need for holistic rural development, he instructed all Block Development Officers (BDOs) to develop at least one “Model Village” in each Gram Panchayat of their respective blocks by utilizing local strengths, resources, and unique characteristics.
Furthermore, the Collector advised all BDOs to work towards establishing “Clean Model Villages” across all blocks by ensuring improved sanitation systems, cleanliness, and active participation of the local community throughout the district.
