Bhubaneswar, Sept 19 [UDN}:The fear of another possible cyclonic system has once again begun to raise concern along the eastern coast, with September 9 emerging as a date being closely watched by weather enthusiasts and residents. Forecast projections from different numerical weather models have reportedly indicated the possibility of a developing weather system over the Bay of Bengal, prompting renewed discussions about the potential threat to coastal areas.
The latest model-based assessments have drawn particular attention to Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, with both states being closely monitored because of their exposure to weather systems developing over the Bay of Bengal. While the initial projections are still subject to significant changes, the varying model forecasts have increased public concern about the possibility of another spell of severe weather.
Weather models are currently being examined to determine the likely formation, movement and intensity of any potential low-pressure area or cyclonic circulation.
