Odisha to Strengthen Coastal Tourism with New Sea Tourism Terminal in Puri and Cruise Connectivity to Paradip, Digha, and Visakhapatnam

Puri, Aug 7 [UDN}:A new Sea Tourism Terminal is set to be established in Puri, aiming to boost coastal tourism and provide a new maritime travel experience for tourists. The proposed terminal will facilitate passenger ship services connecting major coastal destinations, including Paradip, Digha and Visakhapatnam.
The initiative is expected to strengthen Odisha’s tourism sector by promoting sea-based travel, improving coastal connectivity and attracting more domestic and international visitors. The project will provide tourists with an opportunity to explore the scenic beauty of the Bay of Bengal through cruise and passenger ship services.
The development of the terminal in Puri, one of India’s most prominent spiritual and tourist destinations, is also expected to create new employment opportunities and encourage growth in hospitality, transport and related sectors. The move is being viewed as a significant step towards expanding Odisha’s marine tourism potential and establishing the state as a major coastal tourism hub.
