Odisha CHSE Begins Answer Sheet Evaluation for 2024-25 Exams

Bhubaneswar,2nd April 2025: The Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has officially started the evaluation process for the 2024-25 examinations. This significant task, which began on Wednesday, involves the participation of nearly 8,000 teachers across 78 centers in 30 districts throughout the state.

The evaluation will be conducted in two phases. The first phase runs from April 2 to April 14, with around 7,000 teachers working on the answer sheets. The second phase is set to begin on April 16 and will continue until April 28, involving an additional 8,000 teachers. In total, about 16,000 teachers will be part of the evaluation process, which is expected to be completed by April 28.

The Odisha CHSE board is targeting the declaration of results between May 10 and May 15, 2025. To accommodate the ongoing heatwave, the evaluation process will be held in two shifts. The morning session will take place from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the afternoon session will run from 1:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

This year, approximately 3.9 lakh students across various streams, including Arts, Commerce, Science, and Vocational Education, appeared for the CHSE board exams. A total of 24 lakh answer sheets will be evaluated, both online and offline. Each evaluator is expected to assess around 30 answer sheets per day, with a work schedule of five hours.

To ensure an efficient evaluation process, teachers have been instructed to assess 20 answer sheets with a maximum score of 50 marks and 30 answer sheets with a maximum score of 80 marks each day.

The CHSE board is committed to ensuring a smooth and timely evaluation process, aiming to release results promptly and support the academic success of students across Odisha.
