2nd April 2025: The Odisha government has introduced a new initiative, the Chief Minister’s Nutrition Scheme, aimed at enhancing the nutritional status of children and vulnerable groups across the state. The scheme was officially launched by Nityananda Panda, the Minister for School and Mass Education, in Umrakot.
The primary objective of this program is to provide essential nutritional support to children, especially those from underprivileged communities, ensuring they receive the necessary food to support their growth and development. The scheme emphasizes improving the overall health of children and addressing nutritional gaps that can affect their physical and cognitive development.
