16 Countries to Compete in 2nd Asian Yogasana Championship

New Delhi, March 5: The 2nd Asian Yogasana Championship will be held at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi from March 29 to 31, with 16 countries participating. Organized in collaboration with the Sports Ministry and Yogasana Bharat, the event aims to promote Yogasana globally, blending its rich cultural heritage with modern competition.

Supported by the Olympic Council of Asia, World Yogasana, and others, the championship is a step toward making Yogasana a part of the Olympic curriculum. Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya expressed India’s pride in hosting the event, emphasizing its potential to showcase the physical and mental benefits of Yogasana.

The championship marks a significant milestone in making Yogasana a globally recognized competitive sport, bringing together athletes from across Asia.
