Bhubaneswar, April 4: Odisha is witnessing the effects of a cyclonic disturbance, with thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and strong winds expected across several districts. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for regions such as Mayurbhanj, Kenduja, and Sundargarh, predicting moderate to heavy rainfall and wind speeds of 30-40 km/h, accompanied by lightning and thunder.
Additionally, an orange alert has been issued for nine districts, including Sundargarh, Jharasuguda, Sambalpur, and Koraput, where intense rainfall and strong winds are expected. The coastal areas are also on high alert, with heavy rainfall predicted from April 4 to 5, alongside the risk of thunderstorms and gusty winds.
