Kolnara, June 2: A review meeting chaired by District Collector Ashutosh Kulkarni was held on Wednesday at the Sadbhavana Hall of the Kolnara office. Discussions focused on increasing marigold flower cultivation being carried out by SHG women in various rural areas.
The District Collector emphasized boosting production and involving more interested farmers in the cultivation to expand the farming area. It was informed that a target has been fixed for marigold cultivation during the current year.
Among those present at the meeting were Sub-Collector Ramesh Chandra Jena, Rayagada BDO Sujit Kumar Mishra, Kolnara BDO Reena Pradhan, the Kolnara Tahsildar, and Additional Tahsildar Bhabani Shankar Mishra.
Later, the District Collector visited Peda Lekapai village under Kolnara Panchayat and inaugurated a sports infrastructure development project under the “Developed Village, Developed Odisha” scheme. Along with the District Collector, BDO Reena Pradhan, Assistant Executive Engineer, and Engineer Sunil Kumar Mohanty were present.
Kolnara Samiti member Raisingi Tadingi, Sukuru Pirbaka, and local villagers welcomed the District Collector.
