Kotpad,Sept 25 [UDN}:: Odisha Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik on Thursday visited several low-lying and vulnerable areas of Kotpad block, including Shadaranga and Parinji, to take stock of the situation in view of the impact of the deep depression affecting the region.
During the field visit, the Minister reviewed the ground situation and assessed the preparedness of the local administration to deal with possible heavy rainfall, waterlogging and other weather-related challenges.
Minister Naik said that the Odisha Government is fully prepared to tackle the possible impacts of the deep depression and has been closely monitoring the situation. He stressed the need for prompt response and coordination among officials, particularly in vulnerable and low-lying areas.
The visit was aimed at ensuring that necessary precautionary measures are in place and that people in potentially affected areas receive timely assistance if the weather conditions deteriorate.
