Rasulpur,Aug 19 [UDN}:: An induction programme was organised on Tuesday by Upendranath Sharada Higher Secondary School at Khairabad–Mugupal under Rasulpur block for newly admitted students of the +2 Arts, Science and Commerce streams for the current academic year.
The programme was presided over by Principal Milan Kumar Jena. Addressing the gathering, he said the newly admitted students are an integral part of the institution and their safety and future depend on the timely discharge of responsibilities by the teaching staff. He stressed that proper coordination among students, parents and school staff would help secure a bright future for the students.
Lecturer Siddhartha Shankar Rath delivered the welcome address and spoke about the history and heritage of the institution. Lecturer Ramesh Chandra Bhoi briefed the students about school rules, the syllabus and ways to address various academic and other issues.
Senior lecturers Niranjan Dhal and Binod Bihari Lenka conducted the programme. Several lecturers and staff members, including Suresh Dash, Bishwajit Dash, Laxminarayan Biswal, Sagar Kundu, Abu Zahir Khan, Pradeep Sahu, Karibala Panda, Mamata Boitai, Indumati Samal, Kadambini Dash, Padmini Tripathy, Birupaksha Kar, Manas Mohanty, Kshanaprabha Behera, Jayanti Swain and Amarendra Sahu, addressed the gathering.
More than 300 students and their parents from different streams attended the programme. Lecturer Surendra Patra proposed the vote of thanks.
