Rayagada, April 24: The annual function “Srujan–2026” was celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur at Rayagada Autonomous College.
On this occasion, Rayagada MLA Kadraka Appalaswamy attended as the chief guest. The event was also graced by College Principal Dr. Saraswati Ray and P.G. Council Chairman P. Arun Kumar.
The कार्यक्रम began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the guests. In her address, Principal Dr. Saraswati Ray emphasized the importance of character building among students. She stated that education is not limited to bookish knowledge but plays a vital role in shaping students’ values, behavior, and social responsibility.
She also highlighted the facilities available in the college while pointing out certain challenges and the need for infrastructural development—particularly stressing the importance of improving the library and adding new books.
In his speech, MLA Kadraka Appalaswamy said that being an alumnus of the college, he shares a deep emotional connection with the institution. He assured that he would bring the college’s issues to the attention of the government and take necessary steps for its development.
The entire कार्यक्रम was smoothly conducted and coordinated by NCC officer Lieutenant Uday Nayak, making it engaging and successful.
Former principals, retired teachers, and staff were also present, adding dignity to the event. On this occasion, prizes were distributed to the winners of cultural and drama competitions, which further boosted the enthusiasm among students.
