Bhubaneswar, Oct 7 [UDN}:The Odisha government has directed officials to complete the repair and restoration of damaged roads across the state before the Dussehra festival to ensure smooth and hassle-free movement of the public and devotees during the festive period.
The Public Works Minister instructed officials to visit the affected locations and conduct a detailed ground-level assessment of the road conditions. They have also been asked to submit a report on the prevailing situation at the earliest so that necessary repair measures can be taken without delay.
The Minister further indicated that a special meeting will be convened shortly to review road-related problems and work out measures for their speedy resolution.
With Dussehra approaching, the government has placed particular emphasis on ensuring safe and convenient transportation for the public and devotees, especially on roads witnessing increased movement during the festival.
